Recording forms — field-by-field help

Use these guides while entering a record. Each explains where to open the form, what every covered control means, accepted values, conditional sections, what Save changes and how to check the result. An asterisk in Farmlync means required; other requirements can depend on the chosen animal, farm type or action.

Animals and lifecycle

Milk records

These are different kinds of records. Recording heat does not record insemination. Recording a service does not confirm pregnancy. Recording animal milk does not create a tank collection or buyer delivery. Registering an animal does not record a calving event for its mother.

Before you save

1. Confirm the farm and animal(s).
2. Use the actual event date/time shown in the farm’s timezone.
3. Check prefilled details, units, stock and any withdrawal/readiness warnings.
4. Save once and wait for the result. For a batch, inspect individual failures as well as the total saved.
5. Open the saved record and verify it. Use its correction workflow for a mistake instead of adding another copy.
