Health, treatments and withdrawals
Why use this guide
Section titled “Why use this guide”Health brings observed conditions, administered care and withdrawal safety into one workflow. Use the relevant page to record what happened and to check whether milk or meat remains restricted.

Use Farm → Health to review current health work, treatment history, vaccinations and withdrawal holds. A withdrawal is a restriction on using produce from an animal after treatment; always follow your veterinarian’s instructions and the product’s approved directions.
A planned vaccination reminder is different from an administered dose; use the appropriate task above.
Health overview and daily checks
Section titled “Health overview and daily checks”The Health overview brings together open issues, upcoming vaccinations and active withdrawal information. Its Record actions open the appropriate form. The specialist pages include Treatments, Vaccinations, Health checks, Mastitis, Body condition, Hoof trims, Vet visits, Growth, and Health rounds. Each list can be filtered; open a row to inspect its details and permitted correction history. Do not interpret a count in a dashboard as a diagnosis.

Record a treatment
Section titled “Record a treatment”- Choose Record Treatment from Health or the animal detail. Select the animal and the actual Treatment Date and Time.
- Choose the disease or treatment case. The form offers Quick Record for straightforward entry and a fuller mode for additional medicine, schedule and evidence details.
- Select the Drug, confirm Dosage and Route, and complete the administration and notes. The full form can ask for a treatment course, batch/lot number, expiry, prescribing vet, prescription/evidence reference and follow-up.
- Review the milk and meat withdrawal values and their units. Product directions, prescribed values and any confirmed clearance information matter; do not shorten a hold by guessing.
- Save. Open the treatment history and the animal’s Health section to check the record. Check the withdrawal display before milk enters the tank or an animal leaves for meat.
If the form refuses a medicine, stock batch, timing or withdrawal combination, correct the highlighted item. A batch treatment is available where many animals receive the same care; verify the list and result for every animal. For the outcome, correction, void, course confirmation and withdrawal-clearance controls, use the saved treatment guide. Use its correction action rather than entering an unlinked duplicate treatment.
Vaccinations and preventive care
Section titled “Vaccinations and preventive care”Use Health → Vaccinations to record an actual vaccination and inspect due/overdue work. Vaccination protocols define planned schedules; a protocol does not mean every dose was administered. Treatment protocols and the Disease catalog provide reusable choices for recording. If the page offers import, preview the file and review row-level errors before confirming. A future due date is a prompt to perform and record the work.
Other health records
Section titled “Other health records”Use Health checks for observed wellness, Mastitis for mastitis cases, Body condition and weight for scored or weighed assessments, Hoof trims for hoof care, Young-stock growth for replacement-heifer weight trends and Vet visits for scheduled and completed visits. Enter the actual animal and date in each form, save, and check the appropriate history. A recorded observation is distinct from a treatment; if medicine was given, record the treatment too.
Check holds and reports
Section titled “Check holds and reports”The Health overview and Reports → Withdrawal calendar show restrictions. Check the animal, produce type and end time in the farm’s timezone. Reports → Treatment history, Antibiotic usage, Medicines record and Vaccination compliance support review. A calculated end time is not a substitute for any required test or professional clearance. If a hold looks wrong, inspect the underlying treatment and ask an authorised person to correct that record.
