Why use this guide
Section titled “Why use this guide”Today is the daily starting point for farm work. This guide connects the dashboard, Work board, Calendar and Alerts so you can decide what is due, record what was done and follow up on exceptions.
Find your task

Use Today → Dashboard for a snapshot of the selected farm. Tiles and charts link to their source work or records. A figure is only as current as the entries behind it. Use Calendar for dated work and Work for actionable items.
Work board
Section titled “Work board”Open Today → Work. Choose an Area and Timing to narrow the list; the list changes without taking you away from the page. Search or choose a task type when needed. Open an item to see the animal and action. Complete the task in the linked form and check that the work item changes. A work item is a reminder or derived task; marking a clinical or milk job complete usually requires saving its real record.
Start a work session
Section titled “Start a work session”Choose Start Work, review the available jobs, then Start session. Filter by area or search tag/name. Open the action on an individual job, or select compatible jobs and choose Run batch. Select all applies to compatible visible jobs, subject to any batch-size limit; it does not blindly select every job on the farm. Defer leaves a job for later in this local round. Summary ends the working round and shows its results; Exit discards the local session without undoing recorded farm facts. An unfinished session can be restored in the same browser tab.
Alerts
Section titled “Alerts”Open Today → Alerts to filter active, snoozed and resolved alerts. Select an alert to read its source and related animal. Snooze postpones it for the selected period; Resolve records that the issue has been handled. Neither action replaces the underlying animal, stock or health record. Grouped alerts may offer group-level snooze. Alert Rules lets an authorised user edit or enable a rule and reset rules after confirmation. History shows earlier alert activity. If an alert keeps returning, inspect the source condition before changing the rule.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Open the notification bell or Notifications to read your messages. Use Preferences to set your channels, quiet hours, device push and per-alert-type choices. An alert rule controls when a farm issue is raised; notification preferences control how you hear about it. The Notifications screen guide explains each action.
