Reports, Herd Queries and Ask Farmlync
Why use this guide

Open Farm → Reports for ready-made reports. Choose the report by subject, select its date range and other filters, then read the displayed figures. Search the report catalogue if the list is long. Before sharing a figure, check the farm, period, unit and animal scope at the top of the report.
Reports cover herd inventory and age, animal register, movements and trading, breeding and dry-off, milk production and quality, health/treatment/medicine and vaccination, feed use, inventory and economics. Some reports are available only when the relevant feature or subscription is enabled. Where a report offers a drill-down or export, open it to inspect the underlying rows rather than treating a summary as a complete record.
The report finder lists each report and the question it answers. Use the star on a report card to keep frequently opened reports in your favourites.
Herd Queries
Section titled “Herd Queries”For the command bar, builder, supported verb families, result actions and saved-query controls, use the Herd Queries screen guide.
Herd → Queries lets you ask a structured question about farm records. Choose an example or enter a supported Farm Query Language expression, then run it. The result pane shows the matching count or rows. Save useful queries where the page offers that action. A link from another page may open Queries with the query already filled in; wait for its result before drawing a conclusion. If a query fails, read its syntax or access message, simplify the expression and retry. A count can differ from a dashboard if their filters, time windows or definitions differ.
Ask Farmlync
Section titled “Ask Farmlync”The Ask Farmlync panel can answer questions based on authorised farm records and link to the underlying report or query. Ask one specific question at a time, naming a period and animal group where relevant. Open its source link for decisions that matter. The assistant can summarise available records; it cannot confirm an event that was never recorded or replace veterinary advice. If the answer says information is unavailable, open the relevant module and verify the records there.
Scheduled reports
Section titled “Scheduled reports”Open Reports → Scheduled if the feature is available on your plan. Choose Report, Frequency and Recipient email, then add the schedule. The first automatic run is queued for the next farm-local cycle. Each schedule offers history, a send-copy action, pause/resume and removal. Check Run history and its status before assuming an email was delivered. A failed run may offer Retry; NoData means the run completed without report content for that period.
