Beef pages and actions
What this page helps you do
Section titled “What this page helps you do”The Beef area follows cattle through arrival, weighing, drafting and carcass feedback. Use each page to understand the next physical or commercial step for an animal without treating a forecast as a completed sale.
The Livestock → Beef menu appears only where the farm’s herd type and access allow it. Its pages follow a sequence: register the arrival, record weights, plan drafting, receive processor feedback, then review pricing and settlement. These are distinct records; a weight session does not record a carcass, and an imported kill sheet must be reviewed before its values are relied on.
The designated Clover Hill screenshot farm is dairy-only, so its Beef routes correctly show a feature-access notice rather than the Beef controls. The action descriptions below are verified from the Beef page and form code; a Beef or Mixed farm is needed for useful live screenshots.

| Performance economics | Review animal count, finished count, total cost, proceeds and finished margin for the selected window. The group table includes margin per head and average daily gain; open a group for animal-level days, gain, cost, proceeds, margin and break-even/kg. Export CSV downloads per-animal rows regardless of the selected group view. Costs and proceeds can be incomplete if source records are missing; see Performance economics for calculation and comparison limits. |

Bulk intake controls
Section titled “Bulk intake controls”For every Bulk intake control and the final registration check, use the dedicated intake guide. The button requires an arrival date and at least one tagged row; the server performs the full row validation when you submit.
Price-grid and settlement caution
Section titled “Price-grid and settlement caution”Price grids, settlement types and actual carcass feedback are different records. When a value appears unexpected, inspect the processor result, grid effective on the kill date and settlement lines separately. Do not edit a weight or carcass measurement to force a payout figure. Use the dedicated pricing and settlement guides for every control.
