Billing & Plan — usage, plans and subscription actions
What this page helps you do
Section titled “What this page helps you do”Admin → Billing & Plan shows the selected organisation’s subscription, resource usage, available plans and optional packs. Use it before adding a farm, registering more animals or inviting another user when a limit may be close. This is an organisation subscription, not a separate bill for each farm. The page reads its plan and price choices from the billing service, so use the amounts displayed for your region rather than an example price in a guide.
A Tenant Admin or Platform Admin can change billing. Other organisation users may currently reach the page and see its action controls, but the billing service rejects their trial, plan, payment, cancellation and add-on requests. Ask a Tenant Admin to complete those actions; visible buttons are not proof of billing authority.
If the subscription, plan or add-on data cannot load, the page shows a Retry control. A separate quota error has its own retry; do not interpret a missing quota panel as unlimited capacity.
Current plan and usage
Section titled “Current plan and usage”Current plan shows the plan code and subscription status. Comp marks a complimentary subscription. The date underneath says either Renews or Access until, depending on whether cancellation is scheduled; active add-ons are listed there too. Plan usage shows the live used/limit figures for Animals, Farms and Users when returned by the service. An unlimited quota says Unlimited; a custom limit is marked and may show its reason. The bar turns amber at about 80% and red at the limit. Check the number, not just the colour, before a capacity-bearing action.
The current-plan card can offer these actions:

| Cancel subscription | Shown for a renewing gateway subscription. A confirmation explains that paid access continues until the displayed period end, then moves to Basic. Keep subscription closes without cancelling. |
| Resume subscription | Shown after period-end cancellation has been scheduled. It restores renewal if completed before the end date. |
An error toast means the requested billing action did not complete as expected. Recheck the current subscription state and billing history before submitting another paid change.
Compare plans and change a plan
Section titled “Compare plans and change a plan”Use Billing period → Monthly / Annual to change the prices displayed on the plan cards and the period used for a new choice. The Annual button displays an approximate savings hint; the actual amount for each plan is the figure on its card. Each card lists the available features. Current plan appears only for the same plan and billing period you already hold. Choosing the same plan on the other period shows Switch to Monthly or Switch to Annual. A plan without a configured price in your region shows Custom and Contact sales, rather than a checkout button.
For an available priced plan, select Choose plan (or Switch to…). If you already have a paid plan, a dialog explains the immediate plan change, credit for unused time and prorated difference; choose Confirm change or Cancel. If you do not yet have a paid gateway subscription, Farmlync can redirect to checkout instead. Complete checkout there and return to Farmlync. A cancelled checkout leaves the plan unchanged. After a successful return, Farmlync requests confirmation, refreshes subscription/entitlement data and polls briefly while the new state appears. The current success banner is shown from the provider return even if that confirmation is still pending, so treat the refreshed Current plan, quota limits and provider invoice as the authoritative result. Contact support if they do not update; do not repeat the payment.
Changing to free Basic may end a paid gateway subscription; read the confirmation and current plan carefully. If the page reports that a provider accepted a change but Farmlync could not finalise it, contact support rather than repeating payment actions.
Add-ons
Section titled “Add-ons”Add-ons are optional packs on top of the plan. Each card shows its name, the amount for the selected Monthly or Annual period, and Active when held. Add requests a pack; it is disabled if the pack is unavailable in your region. Complimentary accounts show Included instead of a purchase action. For an active pack, Remove opens a confirmation stating that its access ends immediately. Check the refreshed card and current-plan add-on list after either action.
Plan restrictions and user permissions are different: a plan can make a feature unavailable even when the person’s farm role would otherwise allow it. For help deciding who can use a feature, see Users and access.
