Carcasses — inspect processor results
What this page helps you do
Section titled “What this page helps you do”Beef → Carcasses is the farm register of recorded carcass results. Use it to check which animal a kill-sheet result belongs to, compare hot carcass weight and grade, and follow a result back to that animal’s record. This page lists accepted or manually recorded carcasses, not staged upload rows. Beef features require a Beef or Mixed farm.
The page shows 20 records per page, newest slaughter date first. Select the animal identity in a row to open that animal’s detail page. The row itself is not a separate editable carcass form. To bring in a processor file, choose Import kill sheet and follow Carcass imports. A carcass may also be recorded from an animal’s Beef detail when that action is available.
Read the summary cards
Section titled “Read the summary cards”The cards summarise all records matching the current filters, not just the 20 on screen:

| Avg HCW | Average hot carcass weight in kilograms among matching records. |
| Avg kill-out | Average of stored kill-out percentages where one is available. A dash means there is no usable percentage. |
| Total HCW | Sum of matching hot carcass weights in kilograms. |
Changing a filter changes both the cards and rows. A zero-result filter shows No carcasses match your filters instead of summary cards. If the request fails, use Retry.
Narrow the register

| Search animal | Type part of the animal’s tag, name or national identifier. The search waits briefly after typing before refreshing; it is not limited to the visible page. Up to 100 characters are accepted by the service. |

| Abattoir | Choose a recorded plant/site, or All abattoirs. |
| Grade | Choose a recorded conformation grade, or All grades. |
| Killed from / Killed to | Optional inclusive farm-local slaughter dates. Leave either blank for an open-ended range. To must be on or after From. |
| Clear / Clear filters | Remove every active filter and return to the full register. Pagination returns to the first page when filters change. |
The dropdown options come from the whole farm’s live carcass dataset, not just the current page. Date filtering uses the farm’s timezone, so use the date shown on the processor statement rather than a browser-local date.
Read a row

| Animal | Tag, name and applicable national ID; select it for the animal’s detail. Resolve an identity mismatch in the import or source record before relying on the result. |
| Kill date | Recorded slaughter date in farm-local display. |
| HCW | Hot carcass weight in kg, the processor-side carcass measure. |
| Live wt | Recorded or derived live weight at slaughter when available; a dash means none is stored. |
| Kill-out % | Stored carcass-to-live-weight percentage when available. A dash is missing evidence, not zero yield. |
| Grade, Fat | Recorded conformation and fat classes, or a dash if absent. |
| Processor, Abattoir, Ref | Company, slaughter site and kill-sheet reference, or a dash where the source did not provide one. |
For unexpected figures, inspect the animal’s Beef detail and the corresponding import review. A graded carcass is not automatically evidence of payment; pricing and settlement records are separate. Use Performance economics when comparing recorded costs and proceeds.
