Account, sign-in and navigation
Farmlync has an Admin portal for organisation-wide work and a Farm portal for day-to-day records. The farm shown at the top of the Farm portal determines which animals and records you see. If a page looks empty, check the selected organisation and farm before entering data.
Sign in or create an account
Section titled “Sign in or create an account”On Farmlync’s opening page, choose Log in if you already have an account, or Sign up to create one. The account pages ask for your email and guide you through verification and password setup. Complete any additional verification shown there. After you return to Farmlync, wait while it finishes preparing the account. A newly created account can exist before it has an organisation or farm.
If you forgot your password, use Forgot password on the sign-in journey and follow the account recovery instructions. You can also open My Profile → Account recovery after signing in. Password changes take place on the secure account pages.
Accept an invitation
Section titled “Accept an invitation”- Open the link in the invitation email. Check the address shown: sign up or sign in with that same email address.
- If you have no account, choose the account-creation option and complete email verification and password setup. If you have one, sign in.
- Return to the invitation page and choose Accept invite. Allow the access screen to finish updating.
- Open the invited organisation or farm and check that it appears in your selector. If it does not, return to the invitation link and read any error shown; do not create a second organisation to obtain access.
An organisation invitation is sent by an administrator. A farm invitation may grant access to just one farm. Your role and available menus depend on the access granted, not on the email alone.
Choose an organisation and farm
Section titled “Choose an organisation and farm”If you belong to more than one organisation, choose the intended one from the organisation selector. To switch between the Admin and Farm portals, use the portal navigation in the header. With one accessible farm, Farmlync can take you straight to its dashboard. With several farms, you can select one; subsequent visits in the session return to the selected farm. From the farm selector in the Farm portal, choose View all farms whenever you want the full list.
Check the farm name before recording an animal event. A record saved against one farm does not automatically move to another. If a farm is missing, ask an organisation administrator to check your farm access under Organisation users.
Find a feature
Section titled “Find a feature”In the Farm portal, use Today for Dashboard, Work, Calendar, Alerts and Health rounds; Livestock for Animals, Breeding, Lifecycle, Health and Milk; Operations for Feed, Inventory and Reports; and Setup for farm configuration. Registry and beef pages appear when available to your farm and role. On smaller screens, open the navigation menu to see the same areas.
In the Admin portal, use Organisation and Farms to manage setup, Organisation users to invite people and assign access, Settings for organisation defaults, Billing & Plan for the subscription and Support access for Farmlync Support permission. Platform-only controls appear only for a platform administrator.
Your profile and sessions
Section titled “Your profile and sessions”Open the user menu in the header and choose My Profile. This page shows your name, email, available farm roles and security options. Choose Edit, change Full name, then Save profile; the name in the header updates after the save. Cancel discards the edit. Account recovery opens the secure account recovery journey. The Sessions section shows session controls available to your account. Use Sign out from the user menu when finished on a shared computer.
You can open My Profile even before creating an organisation. Its Back link returns to the page you came from, including organisation setup.
If access looks wrong
Section titled “If access looks wrong”First check your organisation and farm selection. Then check whether the invitation was accepted, and ask an administrator to review your role and farm assignment. Some buttons are hidden or unavailable because a Worker cannot perform the same actions as an Owner or Manager. If the page is a read-only Farmlync Support view, editing is deliberately unavailable.
